Chain of custody and provenance
Custody records possession/transfers; provenance records origin, processing and version relationships.
Paper and digital in one timeline
Source/Handover/BoxID/DossierID/SheetID link to ScanJob/Image, AIResult, QC, declaration and RecordID. Events record actors, time, objects, actions, reasons and before/after references.
Exceptions and rescans
Quarantine, tray changes, shift handovers and rescans retain mappings. Lost paper location triggers investigation; image checksums do not establish paper custody.
Before delivery
Reconcile counts/versions, sender/receiver authority, manifests and accepted portions. Complete custody requires valid source evidence, not simply a polished timeline.
