QC and output quality

Verify completeness, image quality and metadata before acceptance.

Inputs and starting conditions

Scanned/reviewed batch, sampling or full-inspection plan, quality criteria and source manifest.

Workflow and control gates

  1. 01Plan QC
  2. 02Inspect images / pages
  3. 03Check metadata
  4. 04Reconcile physical–digital
  5. 05Independent sign-off

Check missing sides, legibility, order, classification and metadata; record the sample and inspection scope. Final approval is independent of output creation under project permissions.

Exceptions and recovery

Rework identifies objects, reasons and corrected outputs. An authorized waiver does not erase the defect; acceptance reports distinguish accepted and outstanding work.

Roles, outputs and states

ResponsibilitiesEvidence and states
QC officers inspect; supervisors authorize waivers within delegated authority; an independent approver releases delivery; the owner accepts under the contract.Plan/version, samples, inspection results, defects/rework, waivers and sign-off. States: checking → rework / QC passed; QC passed does not mean customer accepted or billable.

Scenario and acceptance criteria

ILLUSTRATIVE SCENARIO

QC detects incorrect metadata despite clear images; return affected items and repeat inspection after correction.

Complete only when

Results identify criteria, inspection scope, pass/fail portions and reinspection.

Interfaces for this workflow

Start with a verifiable scope.

Agree record classes, quality criteria, permissions and evidence before scaling.
